Itinerary

 

  • Your North Konkan Coastal Tour Package from Pune starts from Fergusson College main gate at around 0500AM. Packed breakfast will be served on the way to Murud and you can expect to reach the place by 1100AM. From here you will take a scenic boat ride to the majestic Janjira Fort, explore this exciting place and be back to Murud for lunch by 0200PM.
  • After lunch and a short rest, you will continue to Korlai by 0300PM. The ancient Portuguese Korlai Fort settlement of the 16th century is a remarkable place rich in history. You can stroll around and visit the lighthouse. Once you all gather around 0530PM, you will proceed to Chawl/Nagav by the picturesque Revdanda; night stay will be arranged at around Chawl/Nagav in comfortable homestays.

  • After an early breakfast you will proceed to Kolaba Fort at Alibag, which is one of the oldest forts in the country and is situated about 2km from the shoreline. The fort is a perfect example of the military advancements made under the Maratha rule, especially under the patronage of Shivaji; pay a visit to the Siddhivinakyak temple situated within the fort.
  • After lunch at Alibag, visit the Khanderi Fort, which is situated in an island about 4km from Alibag. Most portions of the fort are intact and the most prominent structure in the fort is the lighthouse. Enjoy the majestic view of the sea from the fort bastion. The return journey commences at 0530 pm when you start for Pune.
